Margaret Cargill is an applied linguist with expertise in genre analysis, corpus linguistics and English for Academic/Specific Purposes and has 25 years’ experience teaching academic writing to science research students of all language backgrounds. Patrick O’Connor is a well-published research ecologist, environmental consultant and science educator, and an active reviewer for scientific journals. They are co-authors of “Writing scientific research articles: Strategy and steps” (Wiley-Blackwell 2009, 2013).
